Our History

Convergenz was founded with a simple belief: strong relationships and tailored solutions lead to better outcomes. What began as a focused staffing firm has grown into a strategic workforce partner supporting mission‑critical programs nationwide.

Over the years, we have intentionally expanded our expertise in IT staffing for government and regulated industries, while maintaining the same relationship‑driven approach that defined our early success. Today, Convergenz continues to grow alongside our clients—adapting to evolving workforce needs while remaining grounded in proven delivery.

2000

Founded

Convergenz was founded by current Managing Partners Greg McGuire and Wade Berusch, establishing the company’s foundation with a focus on building long-term relationships and delivering tailored staffing solutions.

2005-2008

National Recognition & Growth

The company earned national recognition as one of the fastest-growing privately held firms, ranking #36 on the Inc. 500 and #5 in Consulting Services. Convergenz continued this momentum with repeat placements on the Inc. 500/5000 lists, ultimately earning a spot on the Inc. Honor Roll for sustained high performance.

2010-2013

Expansion & Industry Leadership

Convergenz expanded its footprint with the launch of the Dallas office in 2010 and continued to strengthen its industry position. By 2011, it was ranked the 3rd largest privately held staffing firm by the Washington Business Journal, and by 2013 it achieved Inc. 5000 Honor Roll Alumni status for five or more consecutive years of growth.

2015-2021

Community Impact & Key Milestones

Beyond business growth, Convergenz became a leader in charitable giving across the DC area through volunteer efforts. The company also earned the ClearlyRated Best of Staffing Award with a world-class Net Promoter Score and secured a Top Secret Facility Clearance, reinforcing its commitment to quality and trust.
